EAST COWETA HIGH SCHOOL PARKING REGULATIONS It is expected that student cars will serve only as a means of transportation. Once a student’s car comes on campus, it is to be parked, locked and the driver is to come directly into the building. The driver is held responsible for his/her car being vacated promptly. Students must not sit on parked cars or congregate in the parking area. 1. If students wish to drive to school, they must obtain a parking permit immediately after they begin driving to school. Parking permits cost $20.00 per school year. Parking permits must be visibly displayed at all times. Starting Monday August 22, 2016 a $10.00 fine will be assessed for each occurrence of a parked vehicle not displaying a parking permit. Unauthorized vehicles are subject to being booted/ immobilized with an additional fine of $20.00 and could result in disciplinary actions. 2. Parking is a privilege. Students wishing to purchase a parking permit must have cleared all outstanding obligations (ie: missing textbooks, lunch and/or media fines, etc...). 3. Excessive noise will not be tolerated. Car radios, stereos, etc. may not be at a disruptive level while on campus. 4. Leaving campus without permission and/or excessive tardies/absences may result in the loss of parking privileges. 5. Students may only park in designated student parking areas. A $10.00 fine and a discipline referral will be assessed for vehicles parked in unauthorized areas. Repeated parking violations could also result in the loss of parking privileges and/or vehicle being booted/immobilized. 6. Lost or stolen parking permits will NOT be replaced. The student will need to purchase a new parking permit. 7. Parking permits are NON TRANSFERABLE to other students. 8. 15 MPH Speed limit strictly enforced. I have read and understand the rules and regulations for parking on the campus of East Coweta High School. I agree on receipt of a parking permit that I will park at my own risk and understand that East Coweta High School and Coweta County School System cannot be held responsible for vehicle.
