3 THINGS TO REMEMBER AT A GALA 1. A POOL IS ALWAYS A POOL It doesn’t matter if its Showa pool or an Olympic Aquatic center, a pool will always be a pool. Sure, the facility might look different, the lane ropes might be different color but in the end it’s still a rectangular hole in the ground filled with water. 2. ITS OK TO BE NERVOUS Being nervous means you care. That’s a good thing. Take some time to remember that you have worked so hard in the practice. Then, take those butterflies to motivate you to swim even faster. 3. TRUST YOUR TRAINING Everything you’ve done has prepared you for this moment. You’ve put in the hours and now it’s time to show it off.
Christmas presents: Please remember that keeping fit while enjoying the festive season is extremely important. Please see the Christmas challenge to help work on your strength over the holidays. Pool time combined with land based training is essential in developing the all-round swimmer. You do not want all your hard work to be lost over the holidays.
