A Joyous year

125 lives impacted!

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

The first day I met S. she had just come in to foster care and she was terrified. I wanted to take her sadness away and give her something to smile about, but I didn’t know how to do that. The list of her needs was great - ranging from a father to protect her, down to shoes on her feet and everything in between. She wanted to be a child who could dream and play without worrying where her next meal would come from or if she would ever feel like she belonged somewhere.

But then I wondered if she had ever actually gotten to be a child in the first place.

Since starting our grassroots efforts in 2015, we have served the needs of 112 children like S.  The Bloom House, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit organization was founded to

change the trajectory of the way children

navigate through their childhood in the foster care system or without their biological parents.

I realized that I didn’t have to wait for “someday” or travel around the world to minister to orphans and those who have no place to call their forever home. It starts right here in our own community.  This year, because of YOUR support and prayers, we have impacted 125 lives, both children and foster families in need of support!  I have loved partnering with you and shining our light into the hearts of the hurting, because it is there that I have found a God who

Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

equips us with everything we need in Him.

After a very successful Christmas event where Santa Claus granted Christmas wishes for children in foster care, we are now ready to go confidently in to 2018!

We ask that you continue to join us.

Your Support in action W. was a single

mother trying to regain custody of

her children and The Bloom House was available to provide adequate beds and bedding so the mother could continue the process of being reunified with her children.

K. and D. were a struggling family

when a sibling

set of children were dropped off to them in the middle of the night due to the parent’s drug addiction. Because of The Bloom House, they were able to clothe, provide Christmas and put the children in proper beds to assist in bringing comfort during a very difficult time.

B. was a foster youth

in need of clothing and

hygiene items so that he could go to his sixth new school in three years.

Our Heavenly Father is using each of you that has partnered with us to make a difference and push back darkness in our little town. We are humbled when a youth says, “thank you for being here for me,” “thank you for remembering my birthday” “can I come back and volunteer at The Bloom House?” and “maybe one day I will find a family wanting to a d o p t m e . ”   We know that the number of foster children and families touched by the love of their community is going to exponentially grow.

HELP US Jump-START 2018!    Our goal: 40 New Partners The Bloom House is in need of financial support to continue to bring resources and relationships to children in the system and in need of a loving home.  We want to provide enriching extracurricular activities, a cargo van to transport furniture to teens aging out of the system, or being moved to a new home, and more marketing to spread the word of the services we offer to truly better our community. In addition, we still have five rooms still available for corporate, family or church sponsorship!

Will you consider joining us as a monthly partner or by making a one time gift? Doing so will enable us to keep up the work of not turning away a single child in need of support.

The enclosed form makes it easy to join us!  Thank you for making a difference in our community!
