Welcome to PowerSchool Registration at Unionville-Chadds Ford School District for the 2015-2016 School Year!

We hope this guide will help you navigate the yearly Returning Registration process.

Parent/Student Portal First things first, Returning Registrations for UCFSD are all processed through a site called the Parent/Student Portal. This site is the hub for student information accessible to Parents and Students throughout the school year. It is a glimpse of what is housed in our Student Information System, PowerSchool. You may want to access this site to check your child’s attendance, contact your child’s teachers or view the demographic and contact information the school has on file. Students and Parents in grades 6 thru 12 may also view class assignments, grades, and complete course requests.

How do I get to the Parent/Student Portal? You may open any Internet Browser (i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer etc.) and navigate to our District Website- www.ucfsd.org. On the left-hand side under “Resources”, click on “PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal.” This link should also be available on each of the school specific websites. Alternatively, you may want to go directly to the Parent/Student Portal site and/or bookmark it in your Internet Browser- https://ps.ucfsd.org

Do I need to create an account? You only need to create a new account if you have never created one before. If you are having login trouble with an existing account, please contact your child’s school. If you have never created an account before, please create one using the steps below:   

Click on the "Create Account" tab on the login screen Enter the first name, last name, and email address associated with the account Choose a unique username and password o Note: Passwords must be at least 6 characters long



Attach your child to your account by entering his/her first and last name and using the Access ID and Password provided to you by his/her school

How do I add another child to my existing account?    

Log in to your existing Parent Portal account On the left-hand side, click “Account Preferences” Click on the “Students” tab Click “Add” to enter another child’s Access ID and Password

I don’t have my child’s Access ID or Password. What do I do? Student Access ID’s and Passwords are sent via mail at the beginning of the school year. If you have not received a letter with this information by August 24 th, please contact your child’s school to receive a new letter. You must have this information in order to attach your child to your account.

The Returning Registration Process Returning Registration is a yearly process where you are asked to update contact information, authorized pick-ups, basic medical information etc. for your child. This is a necessary step to ensure that the school has the most up-to-date information for your child. To complete Returning Registration, log in to the Parent/Student Portal and on the lefthand side, click “PowerSchool Registration.” You will see a list of your child/ren and any forms that are available. Click on “Annual Student Registration.” As you are entering information, please be mindful of the suggested format listed for some fields. Please fill out the form completely and click “Submit” when done. The information you enter will be sent directly to your child’s school for approval. Note: If your child’s address has changed, you will be required to provide four proofs of residency to our Central Registrar before the address is approved and entered in our system.

If at any time you are having trouble, please contact your child’s school. If necessary, they can forward the issue to our Technology Department for troubleshooting.
