Using Eduphoria to put Lesson Plans on WebPage Eduphoria now has a feature, which will automatically put your lesson plans on your School Wires Class Website. This will keep you from having to type everything in twice. Adding Teacher Lesson Plans to WebPage In order to add lesson plans to your web site, you will first need to go into your lesson planner and click inside the planner entry as if you’re going to edit it. The rest of this can be done in single day view or Plan by Course You will now see a new “House” icon at the top of your plans. You will click on the “House” icon first, and see a screen similar to the one below: Here you'll see the blue double-‐ arrow button that confirms you want to copy this lesson plan to your public Teacher Web Page plans. Last updated on 11/16/11
Clicking on it will then show your plans duplicated over to the right-‐hand side, like the screenshot below. You do NOT have to duplicate your plans over to the right. You can manually edit the right side to create unique content for your website based on each entry in your schedule. You can also copy over your existing plans and then modify the contents of the right side. The source on the left is simply a useful starting point and does NOT have to be what displays on your website. That is why this extra interface exists, to give you complete control of the final public content.
You will need to ‘copy’ your plans over to the right side for each class, for each day. If you would rather just type what your Public Plans will say, then you can just click and type on the right side of the double blue arrows. Click Save, and go to your Web Tab down the left side. You will now see a Lesson Plans heading in your left pane, as shown below: Last updated on 11/16/11
The Lesson Plans sections on the Web tab are based on weekly units, not daily units. In the example above, only a Morning Reading Lesson Plan on August 16th, which is a Tuesday was created. The 8/15 date therefore refers to the entire week from the 15th to the 19th. Now to get just this week’s “Morning Reading” Lesson Plan published, you’ll click on the Publish My Website link (bottom left corner), and select just the lesson plans that you want to publish to your site, as show in the screen shot below: If you don’t see the week, only the courses, click the + next to the course. This will reveal the lesson plan weeks for you to choose from. Click “Publish”, and your website will now contain the Morning Reading Lesson Plans for the week of 8/15. This will automatically update your SchoolWires Class Web page as well. Several of the ‘set up’ pieces have already been done for you. This is the only portion, which you will need to worry about. The ‘set up’ done for you included: • Creating a new Lesson Plan page on your Class Webpage • Setting up your Eduphoria Web Page • Linking your Eduphoria Web Page to your Class Webpage o Now when you click the Lesson Plan link on your Class page, it will automatically go to your Eduphoria Web Page. If you want to make any changes to the Eduphoria Webpage itself, see me and I can show it to you.
