3. Development of Academic Standards I. Conceptual Understanding 1. Students observers the cells in the tourch-light 2. Gives reasons to glow tourch light buld 3. Construct the simple electric circuits 4. Knows the importance of switch in the electrical circuits 5. Compare the tourch light, bulb 6. Understand the working of tourch light 7. They understand the meanings of conductors and insulators and identify the difference of both II. Questioning and making hypothesis 1. Students develops questioning on working of cells 2. They hypothesis the reason why the tourch light cannot glow. 3. They identify the reasons why current passes in the circuits not passing the current in the circuit. III. Experimentation and field Investigation 1. Examines the different bulbs and concludes the wheather working or not. 2. Constructs the simple electric circuits. 3. Visit marriage function hall and observes the different arrangement of glowing bulbs and prepare a report with the help of skilled person. 4. With different objects like pencil, rubber, pin, match strick etc and observes whether current is passing or not. IV. Information skills and projects. 1. Visits streets in a
village and observes the glow/not glow bulbs and
prepares a table. 2. List the daily activities in which we use electricity.
V. Communication through drawing and modul making. 1. Draws the electric bulb and lable its parts 2. Constructs the real simple electric circuits 3. Draws the tourch light and lable its parts VI. Application and esthetic sense and values/application to daily life and concern toe bio-diversity. 1. Appreciates the hard work of the Thomas alva Edison of descovery of the electric bulb. 2. Apreciate the daily using decorative bulbs. 3. Give Value to the students those who prepared working models with waste material and batteries.
