Abd El Aziz Fadel: Chairman, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING Abd El Aziz Fadel is the chairman of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING. He holds a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Military Technical Collage, he also took a diplomat in Total Quality Management from the American University in Cairo. He joined the Egyptian Air Force in 1972 as an aircraft maintenance engineer followed by several top executive maintenance, engineering and logistics positions till he became vice president of safety and quality in 2001. His service at the Egyptian Air force was eventually merited by being Major General. Successively he headed the Airworthiness of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. He joined EGYPTAIR on 2003, as he was proposed the position of Deputy Chairman of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING. On 2004, He was designated as the Safety and Quality Vice president for EGYPTAIR Corporate, in this position he was responsible for organizing all the activities for implementation of IOSA requirements and for obtaining the first IOSA registration. Concurrently, he was the Information Technology Vice President for EGYPTAIR Corporate heading the huge project of IT Modernization of EGYPTAIR. From August 2005 till this day, he is occupying the position of chairman of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING which was granted on 2006 the renowned certificate of the EASA 145, and on 2010 it acquired the FAA approval, paving the way to being a customer-oriented company aiming at competing into national and international market; providing technical services to 52 customers on the year 2005 reaching today 67 customers worldwide.
