The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m., Kelly Waguespack presiding. In Attendance: Laura Arthur, Kristin Bowman, Annette Browne, Gina Cook, Dawn Fedora, Stephanie Gray, Julie Hamilton, Stacie Lambert, Patty Lange, Wendy Letendre, Kristin McAleer, Kim Montgomery, Linda Morgan, Shelly Peters, Cindee Schmiediche, Sue Shankar, Jessica Taylor, Kelly Waguespack, Caren Walton, Dawn Ament, Jennifer White, Merrilee Prochaska Minutes: The October 22, 2015 Minutes were presented for approval. Annette Brown motioned to approve the minutes. Shelly Peters seconded the motion. The minutes were approved with amendment to reflect $200 donation to City Wide PTO lunch. Minutes will be posted to the website. Treasurer’s Report Stacie Lambert 08/01/15-11/19/15 S. Lambert shared budget information. Total YTD Ending Cash Balance is $11,980.16. Reminded all to submit receipts for reimbursements Special Guest Presentation Dr. Ealy and Admin Team from College View High School Dr. Ealy thanked the PTO for the support for passing the bond package in early November Shared an explanation of the Leadership ISD purpose and explained, if interested, to watch for more information as to how to participate in 2016 Dr. Ealy and Admin team from the current Timber View campus explained how Timber View will transition to the new campus title of College View HS Provided a synopsis of the vision and direction of the campus, the academic and extracurricular programming and the relationship with Texas A&M University Group provided information as to how students can apply to attend College View which will open doors beginning in Aug. 2016 State of the Campus Gwen Elder Thanked PTO for the assistance in preparing for events such as Thanksgiving breakfast Update on athletic, fine arts and academic events and competitions o HOSA Blood drive was a success o Football playoffs o Swimming records broken o All state choir-4 students qualified o Orchestra students headed to State; Region 8 half of students were from Consol o Forensics and Debate teams headed to state o FFA headed to Area Competition 200 parents completed the online survey for accreditation. Feedback was the survey was very lengthy. Students completed survey as well. Consol only public school in our area that is accredited Reflection piece written each week by Ms. Elder to campus community would be something that parent community would appreciate. Ms. Elder is going to see about sharing this with parent community as well. Questions regarding bus transportation issues were shared. Ms. Elder addressed and shared the process that is followed. Due to shortage of bus drivers often the bus drivers must finish bus routes prior to picking up for extra-curricular activities in the evenings. Working on having additional staff certified/licensed for bus driving. Ms. Elder will continue to stay in communication with bus operations and Mr. Reed on this issue

Committee Reports Teacher Meals Laura Arthur Provided lunch for faculty /staff on 11/11. Chopped beef and pulled pork provided by Dickey’s. All other items generously donated by HEB Thanksgiving Pie giveaway for faculty/staff. Always a great event and much appreciated by faculty and staff Teacher Birthdays Kelly Waguespack By providing cupcakes the birthday celebrations remain at or under budget Staff Meeting Gifts Meredith Waller Provided supply kits with pens, post it notes, hand sanitizer, tissue with theme of “AMCHS Teachers Supply Students with Success” Box Treats Amy Parrent th Delivered Halloween goodies to the staff on the 30 and another set of treats during the week of finals VIPS Lisa Garner Questions regarding what sign –up tool to use Newsletter Sue Shankar Tiger Tales next addition will go out late November DEIC Annette Browne Calendar options will be emailed out for the 2016-2017 school year After Prom Bash Kelly Waguespack Casino set up has been secured Group will begin meeting after Christmas Kohls Volunteer giveback program shared Operation Tigers Give (Project Sunshine) Stephanie Gray PTO will shop for more people and wrap gifts; but not adopt a family City Wide PTO A committee will consider moving to 9 week grading periods Mike Martindale named to replace glen Walker who is retiring Dec. 31 50 Men Who Can Cook-Feb 5, 2016 College 101 Jeffrey Hill returns on January 25 at 6:30 p.m. College admissions/application process will be covered New Business___________________________________________________________________ Kelly Waguespack Game Day parking recap; $1685 from parking o Was motioned to allocate to Teacher appreciation by Patty Lange o Seconded by Cindee Schmiediche The Big Give overview provided by Kristin Bowman. A huge success with every teacher receiving a bag of goodies with $10 gift card o Dec. 18 asking for assistance from 8:00-lunch. Abuelos catering the lunch beginning at 10:00 a.m. and need help with table set up and decorating. Will send out a sign up for helpers; Still in need of donations; gift items and note that donations can’t be over $250 Meeting adjourned.
