THE
FREMONT FLYER Club Meeting This month our meeting is being held outdoors at Peterson’s Field on Saturday August 15th at 9am. Please bring something out to fly before and after the meeting.
Dragway Use Hopefully people have noticed the improvements at our fields. First, if you haven’t been out to the Dragway, we have moved back to the front grassy area. Our noise issues have been solved, and we are all welcome to fly all types of planes in the front area. Be aware that during races we won’t be able to fly, these are generally on Fridays and Wednesday evenings. You can always check the schedule at http:// www.newenglanddragway.co m/wp-content/uploads/ 2015/05/2015-ScheduleList.pdf if you are unsure if the field will be available before you head out. Also, if you’ve never been to a race at the Dragway, give it a shot! It’s a lot of fun and supports our hosts.
Fremont Flyers
Fremont Flyers, Greetings from the pres. I apologize for not being able to attend the August meeting. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable summer and getting some flying in at our two nice fields or visiting some other clubs. Our relocation back to the forward dragway pit area has been well received. I'm very happy about that. I hope everyone flying there feels the same. Ray has helped us put both fields in a safer state by creating some nice pvc pilot fences that are easily moved for field maintenance. Please join me in thanking Ray. There have been several fly ins, fun flys and competitions in the region. If you go to any please share your story with other members by sending a note to Nick Crego, our e- newsletter editor. Plum Island (my other club!) has been pretty active and we continue to develop a season long schedule of events. The plan is to have one or more RC weekend events each month from May 1
