Avondale’s Pre-School Screening This year’s screening will be offered on

Friday, April 21st from 12:30– 3:30 PM Children are eligible for this developmental screening if they reside in the Avondale School District, will be three years of age on or before May 1, 2017 and will not turn five years old before Sept. 1, 2017. This no-cost screening is offered through the Avondale special education department This will give parents valuable information regarding their child’s development. Avondale employees, trained in early childhood development will observe your child in an informal play atmosphere for 30-45 minutes. Areas observed will include social, motor, communication and conceptual development. Hearing screening is also available. Following the observation period, parents will have the opportunity to conference with the examiner.
