Course description The course basically aims at teaching fourth year students a good load of materials concerning Technology and its motley means as to consequently enable them to make use of their various potentials in their future achievements as teacher. The course also focuses enormously on the contents of online technology including how to relate what the students have recently acquired about language uses and different linguistic levels. The students are supposed to get benefit from online technology as well as software presentation use during the process of teaching and learning. Furthermore, students, as course component, are entitled to assess and evaluate any language activity and linguistic equation on internet websites. In addition, they are in place to share their fore-going knowledge background with their counterpart classmates as well as other ordinary involvers.
Aims and Objectives The present course aims to; 1. develop awareness of the meaning and importance of online technology and its impact over learning outcomes 2. explain overall procedures depending on which any student can finally make use of any category of technical devices as to enhance his/her learning on his/her own. 3. teach students how to use and access various internet software application programmes and find his/her ways through multi-giant online program to virtually augment the ways which help better learning 4. enable the students to understand about the potentials of online technology in a way that it is likely to enable them to work on their own when they are graduated as there will be nevermore useful ways for their appreciation. 5. familiarize the students with the most modern tools and software applications available online to help teaching and learning take place smoothly.
Polices Two discrete policies are followed-up and then required from the students: first, their attendance, which is far more emphasized each class, second, participation by getting involved in several activity archetypes plus oneself assessment which is recycled per hour.
Methods of teaching/ activities/ techniques Communicative approach is the best one to fit as to follow teaching the subject elements. Sometimes, a combination of methods (eclectic) will be required and in due place whenever noticed necessary. The students are almost frequently required to prepare and present assigned language uses during various classes, that is, the approach can be in the form of student-centered one though the role of the teacher can still be seen by acting as a guide and facilitator when the students are working together.
Grading system Students have to take two formal monthly exams each out of (15%), the third exam can be designed optionally and at the request of the students providing that the grade is calculated and attached to the rest. In addition, the rest (10%) is distributed over every day performance, including quizzes and making reports, if sounds essential.
