Principal’s Report Kia ora, Talofa Lava, Kia Orana, Malo e Lelei, Fakaalofa Lahi atu, Bula Vinaka, Namaste, Ni Hao, Nei Ho, Selamat & greetings. Big excitement this week as several of the builders containers were uplifted and the last block is getting closer to completion. Our Year 5 students have had three great days at Waiora and reports are the children are having a wonderful time. Next week our year 6 students head to Waianakarua for a week of confidence and team building and a host of outdoor pursuits. As a Staff we are looking at ways to get our students actively involved during breaks. Mr Sanders initiative of setting up a scooter and skating zone has been popular and a huge success as numbers have continued to increase. By next term a large number of Clubs will be up and running. Some of the Clubs on offer are, Choir, Dancing with the Stars, Kapa Haka, Robotics, Running, Ukulele, Minecraft and Math-Kwon-Do. The Heights are running a Hip Hop club and Running club which are very successful. This week nine parent volunteers, who were trained as Speech and Language Tutors began working with 12 of our Junior students . It is so nice to see them reading to our little ones. With just two weeks of school left lets work together to support and encourage our children with their learning. Katrina Munro, Deputy Principal

Solve this week's maths problem and write your answer and the way that you solved the problem on a piece of paper with your name and room. Drop it into the box at the office (Main or Heights) by Monday lunchtime and your name could be drawn out to win a pizza for lunch on Tuesday. You can work by yourself or get some help from the family! Hint: Use 36 counters to help you solve this week’s problem.

Wheels!
For the past week a zone has been set up outside the office/senior block area during each lunch break for children to play on their skateboards/scooters. This has proven to be very popular so will run for the rest of the term. Children MUST wear a helmet if they wish to participate in this lunchtime activity - This is non-negotiable. Helmet and skateboards/scooters must be named and home in the bike stands outside the office. WANTED - We would love to have some spare helmets available to child if they do not have one, so if you have any unwanted helmets at home please send them along to the school. LOST - Nathan Sinclair has lost his red bike from the main site on Friday. If anyone knows where it is please contact the school office.
