Independent School District 194 Lakeville Area Public Schools Use of School Facilities and Equipment Fee Schedule Addendum to Policy 902 Use of School Facilities and Equipment Effective June 11, 2013 Class 1 groups are permitted use of school district facilities rent-free, but still may incur other fees. Class 1 groups include: Local school groups, Local non-profit youth groups, Local non-profit adult groups (except for adult non-profit groups in Class 2), Local government units, school board, as well as local, state and national election polls and caucuses. Class 2 groups will be charged rent for facilities and equipment. Class 2 groups include: Local non-profit adult groups which charge admission, sell merchandise or generate a crowd of 200 or more, Non-Local, non-profit youth groups, Non-Local, non-profit adult groups, Organizations conducting religious activities (churches will be classified under Class 1 if their activity does not include religious content.), Other K-12 schools and school organizations, Colleges and universities. Class 3 groups will be charged rent for facilities and equipment as indicated on the Use of School Facilities and Equipment Fee Schedule. Class 3 groups include commercial and for-profit groups. A group is considered local if one or more of the following apply: The individual named on the permit is a resident of I.S.D. #194 or the organization named on the permit is located within I.S.D. #194, The event’s participants are at least 50% residents of I.S.D. #194, The primary purpose of the event is to benefit I.S.D. #194. All Class 2 and 3 rental fees are based on a 4 hour block of time. Additional time is charged at a per hour rate. Exceptions to this are the District Auditoriums which are rented for a 5 hour block as well as Pools which are rented on a per hour basis. Consumable Fees 1 Auditoriums Lakeville North and South High Schools: Class 1 groups do not pay rental fees, but they do pay staff fees and equipment fees as well as consumable fees at $15 per hour when specialized lighting or sound equipment is used. Kenwood Trail Middle School: Class 1 groups do not pay rental fees, but they do pay staff fees and equipment fees as well as consumable fees at $10 per hour when specialized lighting or sound equipment is used. 2

Computer Labs Class 1 groups do not pay rental fees, but they do pay consumable fees at $15 per hour.

Pools Class 1 groups, including local organized, aquatics programs which provide their own properly certified staff, using a pool on a long-term basis do pay consumable fees at $26 per hour. All three classes should contact the Community Education Department for additional supervision requirements and lifeguard fees.

Stadium with Synthetic Turf Class 1 groups do not pay rental fees, but they do pay staff fees and equipment fees as well as consumable fees at $65 per hour. All three classes are also governed by the Stadium Scheduling and Use Procedure.

Summer Camp Fees Lakeville athletic groups hosting summer camps shall pay a Summer Camp Fee to the school district. The camp fee for the 2013 summer is $10 per participant. Beginning the 2014 summer, the camp fee will be $13 per participant. Additional Fees In addition to the above fees, all three classes may be assessed additional fees for: • Additional staff costs for custodians, food service, supervision, and other staff fees when applicable • Equipment • Additional garbage removal if necessary • Snow removal requested by user group on non-school day

Organizations Conducting Religious Activities Organizations that rent school district auditoriums on a long-term basis to conduct religious activities are considered Class 2. Such organizations are charged the auditorium rehearsal rate and will provide their own equipment. If such an organization uses a facility for non-religious activities they may be considered Class 1, except for adult non-profit groups in Class 2.
