Merchandiser The following description is representative of the duties performed by an R&K Merchandiser. Other duties and schedules may be required as needed. R&K Merchandisers work independently or in conjunction with drivers to merchandise refrigerated and shelf stable natural packaged foods and beverages to grocery stores. Merchandisers typically work in areas that are out of convenient delivery range of a distribution center, or with large routes/accounts that require additional service. Merchandiser schedules vary. Merchandisers typically drive their personal vehicle between accounts and are reimbursed for mileage. R&K Merchandiser is an active position, with standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending and reaching high shelves throughout the day. This position also requires that you interact with store personnel and provide friendly and efficient customer service. An R&K Merchandiser has the following primary responsibilities: • • • • • • • • •

May or may not check out credits May or may not check-in new product Record LCD’s Work Back Stock Stock Incoming Product, to include facing product and aligning shelf tags Write Inventories/Order Write Credits and put in marked/dated box in cooler Flag OOS (out of stocks) Flag back stock

This role is offered to some stores as an optional service. It provides flexibility to R&K and stores as to when product may be worked. Coordination for this service is typically worked out between R&K management and the store management (or higher).
