Jan made herself available to help our district deal with the devastating death of a student. Her presence was comforting, not only to the students dealing with loss, but also to staff and administrators. She is such a supportive and caring professional; she made the day more bearable for everyone.

Kathy unselfishly helped clear snow from employee's car and waited until all employees were able to leave the building during our snow storm. That's special!

Snow Day Driving
Tuesday, March 1, saw about a foot of snow fall across Saginaw County. Even thought the offices closed early, it took individuals a great deal of time to travel home. Mark Quaderer took time to check in with me to make certain I made it home. I appreciate his care and concern for his fellow SISD team members.

SISD RESC Building
On March 1, a nonstudent school day due to impending winter weather, the RESC offices closed at about 3:00. Do you know that Kim and one of her coworkers were at the office until about 4:30 ensuring that those districts that had payroll scheduled that week would have their employees paid on time? Kim is very conscientious and made certain that all tasks were completed prior to leaving. As she and her coworker dedicated their focus on completing the task in their windowless office, two to three additional inches of snow fell during the afternoon. She wasn't at phased by the conditions outside and even took time to contact a few coworkers to make certain that they made it home safely.

Dolores Kellett goes above and beyond often in her service to SISD. On March 1, she stayed much later after the office was dismissed early due to weather conditions to ensure that all payroll tasks that needed completion by the end of the day were completed and submitted. Once she was in her car ready to go, she waited to see if one of her coworkers could make it out of the RESC parking lot. When the coworker was not able to make it through the parking lot, Dolores took the person home. I appreciate Dolores's care and concern for her team members.

Kelly went above and beyond her job duties by creating a "cheat sheet" or a helpful email to her colleagues outlining what topics for file audits can be found where and how in Child Plus. She is new this year to our program and is always going above and beyond in her work as well as with her co-workers. If she discovers an easier way in doing paperwork, Kelly will share with her colleagues.

Not only did she take extra time to make sure their resumes were up-to-date, but also worked with the students individually to get ready for interviews. Steph is a definite asset to the program and is dedicated to helping the students achieve their work goals. Thank you!

The scent of chili cooking was wafting through the office and I had to be at a STEM Network meeting during the lunch hour. While I was at the meeting I received a kind e-mail that the chili was going fast. Pam took time to dish up a savory bowl and hide it in the refrigerator for me to enjoy later on in the afternoon. I appreciate Pam for thinking of me and making certain that I had lunch.

They worked closely with support, kept users informed, and also let me know what was happening. It is great to have team members like Jim and Mark.

Extra power and manual wheelchairs had been dropped off after school for wheelchair basketball. After signing for the chairs I had the task of bringing them into the building and taking them to OT. Carol has been part of the ISD team for only a short time but took on the daunting task of going through all of the boxes, totes, bags, filing cabinets, etc. that is in the "Buena Vista" storage room. She organized and labeled everything to make it easier for the other departments to come in and go through their pertinent files. She did it all with a great drive, positive attitude and a smile.
