WELCOME TO 3rd GRADE Mrs. Harris-Young, Teacher 699-2981 ext.71213
[email protected] My teaching philosophy is as follows: In order to guarantee your child a safe, rich, and healthy learning environment, as well as any other student, I will not allow any student to take away from his/her learning environment. Therefore your assistant in implementing the school rules, class rules and procedures will make this a very successful third grade year! Basic Goals: To use “hands-on” math and science. To gain independence and responsibility. To enjoy school and make learning exciting. To work in cooperative groups.
Students Responsibilities: Follow rules. Wear appropriates clothing. This includes tennis shoes for physical education, sweater or sweatshirt if air conditioning is too cold, and jackets on cold days. Boys are required to wear their shirts tucked in. Please help us by encouraging your child to tuck in their shirts before coming to school. No flip-flops, sneakers with wheels, and little girls’ shoes with heels. This is for your child’s safety as well as for the other children. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Class Rules/Consequences: Follow all classroom and school procedures. Be ready to learn. Be RESPECTFUL not only to yourself, but also to those around you! Be Safe Be Neat
