Upcoming Activities Group 2 Training Group 2 holds a monthly training SAREX, this month they are scheduled to conduct their mid-level SAREX. As soon as dates are determined you will see the mission in WMIRS and a message will go out to the Wing. This event will be held at the Lansing Airport.
Group 1 SAREX Group 1 is also scheduled to conduct their mid-level SAREX this month. They are having a change of command on 6 Feb, so we hope to have more detailed information on this event.
ILEAS High Bird In a continuing partnership with the Illinois Law Enforcement Alerting System, the Wing will be conducting a High Bird Sortie this month. The goal is to test a new Dual band antenna installed on N9447L. Past missions have proven useful to both of our organizations and we look forward to continued Progress.
Wing Level SAREX The Wing Level SAREX is scheduled for May this year and will be held in Bloomington, IL. This year we will be practicing for our Air Force Guided Mission in September.
DR Bivouac This year the DR Bivouac will be held on the second weekend in June.10-12 June 2016. As always it will be held at the Dacy Airport in Harvard, IL. We are planning ground and air operations. If units would like to participate with Cadets, we ask they be responsible for chaperones. The main operation will be held Saturday. If you would like to camp on the field or stay in town all are welcome.

Operations News Gippsland Airvan comes to IL On 29 January, the Illinois Wing swapped one of our 182s, N821CP for a Gippsland GA8 Airvan. This swap will allow the Wing to expand our mission capabilities and provide heavy hauling and training platform for air crews.
The aircraft is currently stationed at Chicago Executive airport but will move to DuPage at the End of the month.
Mission Reimbursement We have had a number of issues with receipts. Mostly on Ground sorties. Please do not submit your own e108s. This does not allow us to audit them for required information and causes more work for my staff and I, and the timeliness of reimbursement is delayed. Going forward, request submitted in this manner with missing information will not be reimbursed.
