Core Knowledge is an educational reform started by E.D. Hirsh Jr. It is based on the premise that a grade-by-grade core of common learning is necessary to ensure a sound and fair education. Core Knowledge is research based and has been proven to be highly effective in schools nationwide. The Core Knowledge program outlines a curriculum in English/Language Arts, History and Geography, Math, Science, Fine Arts, and Music. This structure provides a clear map and sequence for students, staff, and parents to pursue. The sequence ensures consistency at all grade levels.
Caring Community Our students earn numerous awards and recognitions each year. We offer student activities and organizations, school-wide special events, athletics, art, music, PE, technology, drama, gifted programming, and other enrichment options. Our National Junior Honor Society students organize community opportunities for our students. Our teachers are dedicated to student success and have high expectations for learners. We care about our students and we strive to meet individual learning goals. Class sizes at Quest are smaller than average. We have few behavior problems and most students are eager to learn. Quest Academy views parents as partners and advocates in their child’s education. We have a great parent support and an excellent PTSA. We believe in the power of community and the culture of a small school.
