International CME and Live Surgical Workshop on Rhinoplasty & Snoring Dear Colleagues, Greetings from Hyderabad. Otorhinolaryngologists are constantly challenged by Otorhinolaryngological problems like Hearing Impairment, Snoring, Rhinology etc., related problems at various stages of life. The quality of our work and care depends, on our ability to stay updated with knowledge, expertise and offer evidence based care in every situation. Advances in Surgical Field have made rapid strides, especially in the past few years. We, as Otorhinolaryngologists have always believed that if the society should benefit from all the recent advances in the surgical field, then academics cannot take a back seat. In this regard, as you all know, AOI-Branches have been regularly conducting workshops & conferences to update knowledge of our ENT colleagues and PG students alike, in association with other Local AOI Branches. Continuing the same tradition, AOI South Zone Branch is Organizing a surgical workshop in association with AOIA.P. State Branch and AOI Hyderabad Branch on Rhinoplasty and Snoring by inviting renowned International Rhinoplasty and Snoring Surgeons Prof. Yong Ju Jang, Seoul, Korea; Dr. BS Gendeh, Malaysia; Dr. Amar Singh, Muscat; Dr. Umamaheswar Duvvuri, USA. The workshop is held on 2nd & 3rd of July 2011. This workshop aims to impart the following goals: All the Otorhinolaryngologists should be trained in basic Otorhinolaryngologists work to help the patients. They should also be exposed to all the recent advances and newer techniques so that they can update their surgical skills.

We sincerely believe that appropriately trained ENT surgeons can perform most of the routine Otorhinolaryngology surgeries in their own clinics/hospitals.

The future, as we all know will rely on advanced OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY TECHNIQUES. The Present workshop mainly concentrates on Cosmetic Nose Surgery and Snoring Problems by inviting Eminent faculty to impart and share their skill and knowledge. Live Demonstration and interaction with faculty will be a part of the procedures.

Golconda Fort The name originates from the Telugu words “Golla Konda” meaning “Shepherd’s Hill”. Golconda was originally a mud fort, which passed to the Bahmani dynasty and later to the Qutb Shahis, who held it from 1518 to 1687 A.D. The first three Qutb Shahi kings rebuilt Golconda, over a span of 62 years.

He is Editor in Chief for the Journal of Rhinology. He is a visiting scholar. He has a fellowship in Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, Korea. In his credit are many awards for his Research & Academic Achievements. He published a Book on Practical Rhinoplasty, Practical Septorhinoplasty and his contribution in the Book Chapter "Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery". In his credit are many Publications in International Journals including India.

Dato’ Dr. Balwant Singh Gendeh Prof. & Senior Lecturer in ENT National University Malaysia Medical Center Malaysia He was born and educated in Malaysia. He is a Director of National University Malaysia Medical Center Open Structured Rhinoplasty Course. He was a Consultant Otolaryngology with joint Kuala Lumpur Hospital and National University Malaysia Medical Faculty. He was a Registrar in ENT at Royal Infirmary Middlesbrough, U.K. He was a visiting Fulbright Scholar in Rhinology to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center(UPMC), Hospital University of Pennsylvania(HUP), Philadelphia and St Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago.
