OIC — Assistant School Division Superintendent/ SGOD Chief CID Chief EPS / Division Coordinator Public Schools District Supervisors Head, Public Secondary Schools All Others Concerned In view of the upcoming full implementation of K to 12 Senior High School Program this SY 2016-2017, the City Schools Division of Dasmarifias, through the Senior High School Implementation Team and the City of Dasmarifias Association of School Paper Advisers will be holding the K to 12 Senior High School Advocacy Contests with the theme "Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo!"
2. The K to 12 Senior High School Advocacy Contests aim to: • • •
Awaken the greater interest of the students and teachers on the benefits of the Senior High School Program; Highlight the talents of students as well as teachers by participating in the different contest categories; Showcase the different outputs of the contestants as the Division's SHS advocacy materials
3. This activity is open to all students in the public secondary schools in the Division. All secondary schools are required to conduct elimination rounds in their respective schools and submit ONE winning entry for each contest category, which shall compete in the Division level. 4. Among the submitted entries, there will be ONE winner per contest category. 5. The different contest categories are the following: •

POSTER MAKING Contest Guidelines
1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarinas City. 2. Each secondary school must hold an elimination round to select one winning entry, which shall be submitted to the Division. 1. Participants must create a poster that illustrate, interpret and emphasize the promotion of K to 12 Senior High School Program with the theme: Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo! 3. Participants must use any of the following materials: • A 1/2 illustration board (white background & vertical format) •

The participant will be held accountable for any issue that may arise with regard to the originality and authenticity of the design. Winning entry per school must be submitted to the Division Office by October 7 (Wednesday). The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: •

PHOTOGRAPHY Contest Guidelines
1 The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarinas City. 2. Each secondary school must hold an elimination round to select one winning entry, which shall be submitted to the Division. 3. Participants must submit an original photo that captures the theme: Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo! 4. Entries must be photos taken using the point and shoot camera, Digital Single Lens Reflex camera, and the like. Photos taken using the mobile phone or other apps in mobile devices will not be accepted as contest entries. 5. Participants must submit only their OWN photos. The participant will be held accountable for any issue that may arise with regard to the originality and ownership of the photo entry. 6. The photo entry must NOT undergo any post processing and be submitted to the Division in any formatted or empty storage card (SD card, XD card, MMC card, etc.) by October 7 (Wednesday). 7. FLYER MAKING Contest Guidelines
1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarinas City. 2. Each secondary school must hold an elimination round to select one winning entry, which shall be submitted to the Division. 3. Participants must create a flyer that contains information about the Senior High School Program. References are available at the Division's website www.depeddasma.edu.ph . Precision of information must be shown in the flyer. Personal experiences and testimonials, however, may also be used. 4. Participants are encouraged to use original illustrations in the flyer. Should there be any graphics or pictures taken from the internet, the participants must follow proper citation procedures. 5. The size of the flyer is 8.5" by 11" (letter). The paper must be folded into three parts and printed with information about the given topic. Participants may use any digital application in the creation of the flyer such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office Publisher, Paint, etc. 6. Participants must submit only their OWN creation. The participant will be held accountable for any issue that may arise with regard to the originality and ownership of the entry. 7. Winning flyer entry per school must be submitted in a printed copy to the Division Office by October 7 (Wednesday). 8. The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: •

ESSAY WRITING Contest Guidelines
1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarifias City. 2. Each secondary school must hold an elimination round to select one winning entry, which shall be submitted to the Division. 3. Participants must write an essay focused on the theme Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo! 4. Essay must be written in English/ Filipino consists of not more than 1,000 words. 5. Entry must follow the format specified below: • Times New Roman size 12 • 1.5 spacing • Typed/ printed in a short bond paper with 1" margin on all sides 6. The participant warrants that his or her entry is original, has not been published in any medium and has not won an award. Plagiarized entries will automatically be eliminated and the participant will face the corresponding consequences of plagiarism. 7. Essays must be submitted in two printed copies to the Division Office by October 7 (Wednesday). Place the printed entry in a brown envelope bearing the participant's name, school, contact number, and email address. 8. The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: • •

INFOMERCIAL Contest Guidelines
1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarinas City. 2. Participants must form a group of 3 members who will create an infomercial to be screened in the school level, and if selected, be submitted to the Division as official entry of the school. 3. The infomercial should focus on the theme Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo! 4. The infomercial must be 60 seconds to 120 seconds in length. 5. The participants warrant that their entry is original, does not infringe on any existing copyright or intellectual property rights and has not been previously used for commercial purposes. 6. Entry must be saved in any of the following formats: .mp4, .avi, .fly, .mov. Any other file format will not be accepted. 7. Entry must be saved in a flash drive placed inside a brown envelope with the participant's name, school, contact number, and email address written at the back. 8. Deadline of entry submission is on October 7 (Wednesday) at the Division Office. 9. The entries will be judged according to the following criteria: •

JINGLE WRITING Contest Guidelines 1. The contest is open to all bonafide students of public secondary schools in Dasmarifias City. 2. Participants must form a pair (2 members) who will send a jingle entry to be screened in the school level, and if selected, be submitted to the Division as official entry of the school. 3. The jingle should focus on the theme Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo: Sa K to 12 Kaya Mo! 4. The jingle may be in a popular or new song genre in any form or structure and must not exceed 60 seconds in length. 5. Lyrics may be in English or Tagalog and must have an easy recall. 6. Musical style is recommended to be up tempo, current, and inspiring. 7. The participants warrant that their entry is original, does not infringe on any existing copyright or intellectual property rights, has not been previously recorded for commercial purposes or been performed in any venue. 8. Entry must follow the format specified below: • Jingle saved as an mp3 file • Lyrics saved in a .doc format (Times New Roman size 12) 9. Entries must be saved in a flash drive placed inside a brown envelope with the participant's name, school, contact number, and email address written at the back. 10.
