Sunflower Baby Hat Crochet Pattern

Special Stitches Double SC (Mini Puffs) Insert your hook into the next stitch. Yarn over, and pull back through that stitch (2 loops on hook). Yarn over, and insert your hook into the same stitch again. Yarn over, and pull back through that stitch (4 loops on hook). Yarn over, and pull through all the loops on your hook.

(22 sts) Rnd 3- Ch2, 1 dc in the 1st st. *2 dc in next st. 1 dc in the next st. Repeat from the * all around. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (33 sts) Rnd 4- Ch2, 1 dc in the 1st st. *2 dc in the next st. 1 dc in next 2 sts. Repeat from the * all around. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (44 sts)

Size: Pattern is made for a newborn size. Changes for size 3- 6 months are in [ ]. Finished Measurements Newborn, 0 - 3 Months Old (Head Circumference 13.5 inches, 34cm. Hat Height 5.5 inches, 14cm) 3 - 6 Months Old (Head Circumference 15 inches, 38cm. Hat Height 6 inches, 15cm)

Materials: • 3.50mm (E) Crochet Hook • 8ply Yarn (DK) - Drops Cotton Light (In the colours "Yellow" “Green” and "Brown”) • Tapestry Needle

Stitches Used: st(s) – stitch(es) ch – chain stitch sc – single crochet dc - double crochet tr - triple crochet double sc - double single crochet (mini puffs) sl st - slip stitch

Rnd 5- Ch2, 1 dc in the 1st st. *2 dc in the next st. 1 dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from the * all around. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (55 sts) Rnd 6- (Skip this round if you're crocheting the newborn size) Ch2, 1 dc in the 1st st. *2 dc in the next st. 1 dc in next 4 sts. Repeat from the * all around. Join with sl st in 1st dc.
