Community Information Located in Southeast Texas, the cities of Port Neches and Groves are in the area of Jefferson County referred to as Mid-County. Port Neches is a riverfront community with a population of approximately 13,000 located some 15 miles south of Beaumont. Groves is the third largest city in Jefferson County with a population of approximately 17,000. In addition to a highly recognized school district, both cities offer many amenities including superior housing and a variety of recreational opportunities within close proximity. Port Neches and Groves have a small town atmosphere and a big sense of community.
