Additional Enrollment Notes: June 2013: 31 (K-6) June 2014: 33 (K-6) June 2015: 31 (K-6) One new student (grade 3) started Thursday, Sept. 3 Preschool enrollments: WES Preschool: 12 students (one new 3 year old enrolled from Whiting Sept. 28) 3 year olds from Whiting (4), Sudbury (2), Orwell (1) 4 year olds from Whiting (1), Sudbury (4) Special Programs and Events: ● Sudbury's Halloween Dance for the students was Friday, Oct. 30th. Many Whiting students and parents attended. Everyone had a great time! ● The Whiting-Sudbury community forum to discuss Act 46 was attended by about 30 residents at the Sudbury Town Hall on Oct. 21. It was a thoughtful, informative discussion. ● On October 20th, all K-6 students from Whiting and Sudbury attended a children’s theater production, “Toying with Science” at Castleton University. ● The fall edition of the Whiting Moospaper is being mailed to all residents soon… Watch for it!

Professional Development and Wednesday afternoon all school project time: ● All RNESU professional staff will participate in Professional Development activities on Wednesday Nov. 11th. At Whiting-Sudbury, we will continue our work on understanding and implementing “brain-based’ approaches to teaching and learning.
