Learn how to take advantage of purchasing programs that the federal government has set up to help local governments. All units of local government intending to use equipment for counter-drug, homeland security, or emergency response purposes may realize substantial savings by purchasing through the 1122 Federal Procurement Program. Meanwhile, the 1033 Military Excess Property Program is available for law enforcement agencies to acquire no-cost or low-cost equipment and supplies.
