CONFERENCIA POST JORNADAS Dando continuidad a las JELENS 2015, anunciamos la realización de dos conferencias dictadas por el Dr. Richard Smith (University of Warwick):
Conferencia I: 'Beyond myths and methods: historiography in language teaching' Jueves 11 de mayo, 18 a 20 hs Conferencia II: 'Teaching English in difficult circumstances: autonomy and practitioner research' Viernes 12 de mayo, 18 a 20 hs. Richard Smith: As an applied linguist and language teacher educator, I am interested in a range of language learning and teaching issues, especially in relation to the worldwide learning and teaching of English for speakers of other languages, I have particular professional / research interests and aim to supervise research students in the following broad areas: Histories of language teaching & applied linguistics; Critical issues in ELT/TESOL; Language textbook research; 'Local pedagogies' in ELT/TESOL, including approaches to teaching English in 'difficult circumstances'; Pedagogy of autonomy, including language teacher autonomy; Capacity-building in ELT/TESOL research, including teacher-research. En nuestro país son ya numerosos los colegas que lo conocen por su actividad en la University of Warwick, como docente de posgrado y supervisor de tesis.
