professional career and this decision did not come lightly. I have had the good fortune to serve alongside so many exceptional men and women committed to serving the people of Colorado, and I am humbled by your many sacrifices and efforts to serve your communities. I also want to thank everyone for your camaraderie, support and for welcoming me into your local jurisdictions. While my tenure in OEM was somewhat limited, my respect for the profession has grown exponentially. I apologize for any inconvenience my sudden departure may cause as there was much unfinished business. I hope to cross paths with each of you sometime in the future. If you would like to remain in touch, I may be reached at
[email protected] or (720) 481-0960.”

I certainly understand that it was not easy to fulfill this request with all of the existing priorities that each carry in your respective roles. This said, the effort is not overlooked and very much appreciated by myself, the field services team, our local government partners who participated, and the regional staff who worked hard to ensure a delivery of the content…….please extend the gratitude to our partners outside the division who fill roles in the SEOC as Emergency Coordinators for their time and commitment to this regional effort in the NCR as well.” Congratulations to Jeff Babcock on his retirement from the San Luis Valley Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council (RETAC).
