●
DELAC is taking a different turn so that more parent representation is present. ● Roughly 3,000 fliers were sent out so that the community can get more involved in our meetings ● Childcare will be provided ● Going to talk about Dual Language Immersion because that was the biggest interest from parents DUAL LANGUAGE IMMERSION PRESENTATION Presentation link: Video Share out and Questions : *How does the program realign itself to Common Core Standards? * Will the students be confused if they are speaking two languages? The program would cover this issue. They are learning high academics in both languages. *Is the program going to be Kinder 12th? Eventually we would be able to accommodate, ie; high school would have ex. Spanish for Spanish Speakers and possibly other classes. They would be awarded a seal of biliteracy. (California state Seal of Biliteracy and is recognized statewide, nationwide) *Just thinking about all the opportunities you can have by growing up with two languages. *Very excited about the program and I want to hear more about the Cons of the program. *As a teacher, my concern is the execution of the actual delivery of the lesson? and quality of the delivery?
