From the Library's catalog portal, click on the E-Sources menu and log into you online account with your Library card number and password. If you need help accessing your online account or our resources, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff. Unless otherwise stated, all programs are free for Library members and 10€ per teen for non-members. Teens must have their own Library card or be covered by a family membership, otherwise, the 10€ program fee applies. RSVP is required for all teen events. YALSA Teens’ Top Ten: Your vote counts! The Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books from the previous year. Nominators are members of teen book groups in school and public libraries in the United States. Once nominations are posted, teens are encouraged to vote on their favorite books. Readers ages 12-18 can vote online between 15 August and 14 October at: http://www.ala.org/yalsa/teenstopten The national Teens’ Top Ten vote runs through Teen Read Week, from 8-14 October. The 10 nominees that receive the most votes will be named the official Teens’ Top Ten. This year’s list of nominees features 26 titles that were published between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016. Summer Reading Challenge: Get in the Game! Saturday 24 June – Sunday 10 September For every reading challenge you complete you will earn a brand new book and one clue that will help you solve the Summer Reading Challenge game. Collect your Teen Review card from the Children’s and Teens’ Services desk. Once you have completed a challenge, submit the review card to claim your prize and earn a clue.

Show off your summer reading! Get creative with books or post a photo of what you’re currently reading on your Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and tag The American Library in Paris to win a prize! See back panel for Library social media information!

A book that has been banned or is controversial. A book recommended by a friend or librarian. A book you've heard a lot about but never read. A book in a genre that is new to you. A book set in a place you'd like to visit. A book by an author who has visited the Library. A book that was translated from another language. A book that was the author's debut work. A book that scares you (size, subject, reputation). A book that has won an award.
The more challenges you complete the more books you win and more clues you accumulate. The Summer Reading Challenge game may be solved without all ten clues, but the more clues you collect the better your chances to solve the game! Check out the YALSA Teens’ Top Ten display on the Teen Mezzanine at the Library! Don’t forgot to cast your vote online.
