Yearbooks are on sale! Here’s how to order… Elementary School To pay with cash or check, please print the attached form 'and fill out. Send in an envelope addressed to PTA Yearbook Orders with your payment, and have your child give to their teacher. Checks should be made payable to Voorheesville PTA. To pay with a credit or debit card, please go to YBPay.lifetouch.com and use the school code: 7274016. You do not have to create an account. Simply enter your child’s name and your ordering options will appear. If you have multiple children in your home (in the elementary school), you may purchase their yearbooks all at one time. To do this, after creating an order form for your first child, before you hit “submit”, please look near the top right of the page and click the link that says “Place Additional Order for this School.” You will be directed to search for your next child’s name. You will only have to re-enter the number of books ordered and your payment information. You can do this for each child until you are ready to submit your order to Lifetouch. Using the website, you do not have to worry about cash or checks being lost on the way to school. You know your order has been submitted and you will receive a receipt instantly. The cost of a yearbook is $20, and the current orders are due by February 12, 2016. Please contact Mary LeClair at
[email protected], if you have any questions. Middle School MS Yearbooks can be ordered online at YBPAY.lifetouch.com. The yearbook code is 11605616 (or type in Voorheesville Middle School). Price before March 1 is $23 for soft cover and $28 for hard cover. After March 1 the prices increase to $28 for soft cover and $33 for hard cover. High School HS Yearbooks can be ordered online at balfour.com and entering Clayton A. Bouton High School. The cost is $35.00.

Talent Show February 26th 6:00pm HS PAC The Voorheesville PTA in conjunction with two student-sponsored clubs: The Gay Straight Alliance and The Blackbird Review, are pleased to announce the K-5 Voorheesville Elementary School Talent Show!! It will be held on February 26, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The show will be held at the Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center at the High School. Proceeds from the Talent Show will benefit the Gay Straight Alliance, the Blackbird Review and The New Scotland Food Pantry.

Fun Fest Congratulations to grades 4&5 who won our Box Top Competition! You have won an hour of outside time…ENJOY!! And thank you to all who collected box tops, you have collected 7,760 box tops for your school!! Thank you to Nicole Munro, Laura Smith and Lori Richmond who helped us count all those box tops!
William R., an 8th grade student from the middle school, came in 1st place, in the Spelling Bee. He will be representing Voorheesville in the Capital Region Spelling Bee on February 2, 2016 at Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady, NY. The winner of this regional competition will compete at the National Spelling Bee held in Washington, DC.
We are looking for a group of individuals who would like to help with Fun Fest this year! This has been a great event in the past years and we can’t wait to make it even better this year…but, we can’t do it without your help!! Teen Night Parent of a Middle Schooler? Why not help out with Teen Night?!! The next Teen Night is 2/5 from 7-9pm. Blackbird Paradise Thank you to Lisa Pellitteri who will be taking over for Patricia Putnam in the Blackbird Garden next year! She is looking for individuals interested in joining the Garden Committee! Chess Club Thank you to Christina Suits who will be taking over Chess Club! In other news… There is good news to report on the high altitude balloon that the 2015 AP Physics class launched last June! It was found two-hundred and eleven days after the launch! A couple from Stuyvesant Falls, New York discovered the balloon in their back yard a few months ago. Our videographer Erik Patak is currently editing the footage we collected and should soon be finished with two videos, a short highlight reel and a longer video with footage from all three cameras. VES Yearbook Committee is looking for 5th Grade Baby Pictures As a reminder to all 5th grade parents! Please submit one baby photograph of your child, pre-k or younger. You can email the picture to Andrea Macri at
[email protected] or you can send a labeled photo to school in a sealed envelope to PTA Mailbox/Andrea Macri (they will be returned to you once scanned). Please submit your child's photo no later than Friday, February 12th. If you prefer to not have your child's baby picture in the yearbook, please send an email saying so.
