Canadian Benefit Administrators and MyBenetech Inc. improve their building with the Town’s Community Improvement Program HALTON HILLS, ON – Canadian Benefit Administrators and MyBenetech have been proud to call Georgetown home for the past 6 years recently improving their property with the Town’s Community Improvement Program. Located in the heart of Downtown Georgetown’s BIA area at 124 Main Street S., Canadian Benefit Administrators and MyBenetech are run by siblings Cindy and Jason Robinson. This family run business decided to relocate to Georgetown because they fell in love with the small town feel. The CIP establishes a formal partnership between the Town of Halton Hills and the local business community to improve their buildings. The Town has budgeted $75,000 per year in funding for the program. “The program has allowed us to invest in the property we own in ways we would not have otherwise been able to afford. It is wonderful to make the property look more aesthetically pleasing. We would not have had the funds to proceed with the renovations had we not received the grant, we are so pleased with the outcome this program” said Cindy and Jason Robinson. The program targets three specific areas of Halton Hills; the downtown areas of Acton and Georgetown and the Guelph Street Corridor in Georgetown. In all three areas funds are provided for the exterior façade improvements and conversion of the underutilized space to either new retail or residential uses. Grants range from $10,000 to $12,500 based on the project. “We have seen some significant success with this program. The businesses that have utilized the Community Improvement Program have made some incredible transformations. We hope that any business in the designated areas contemplating a renovation, take advantage of our program” says Mayor Rick Bonnette.
