Halton Hills Fire Department Appoints Assistant Deputy Chief HALTON HILLS, ON – Bryce Marshall has been appointed as the Halton Hills Fire Department’s new Assistant Deputy Chief. “Bryce has a long history with the Halton Hills Fire Department and is a life-long resident of Halton Hills”, said Commissioner and Fire Chief John deHooge. “He joined our ranks as a part time firefighter in 2002, became a full time firefighter in 2004 and has steadily climbed through the ranks as Acting Captain in 2011 and Captain in 2015. He is the Fire Department’s project lead on the HHFD Mobile Data System, NICE recording system, Firehouse software, GIS Data and Trunked Radio programs.” Bryce’s certifications, designations and training include Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC), Basic Emergency Management, Emergency Management Exercise Programs, Certified Municipal Manager (CMM), Fire Officer Level II, Fire Inspector Level I, Public Fire & Life Safety Education, Fire Service Instructor Level II, Trainer Facilitator, Fire & Explosion Investigator, Flashover, Ontario Association of Training Officer Forcible Entry Instructor, SCOTT SCBA Maintenance, and many more. “On behalf of Members of Council and myself, I would like to extend our congratulations to Bryce on his new appointment,” stated Mayor Rick Bonnette. “Bryce’s experiences in his role as a Captain and firefighter will make him a valuable addition to the Fire Department Senior Leadership Team.” About the Town of Halton Hills The Town of Halton Hills, with a population of approximately 60,000, consists of two urban centres, Georgetown and Acton, the Halton Hills Premier Gateway employment area, three hamlets – Glen Williams, Stewarttown and Norval – and several smaller settlements.
