Town launches new and improved active development page on Town website HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town has revamped the active development page on its website to provide more detailed and valuable information to the community. The webpage tracks and provides an up-to date status for all active development applications within the Town of Halton Hills. The webpage is also linked to the Town’s MapLinks program to allow visitors to the page to search for active development proposals by clicking on the mapping tool to obtain key information for each proposal, including: • • • • •
type of application (ie. Zoning By-law Amendment, Subdivision, Site Plan); description of the proposal; current status of the application; next steps in the application review process; and contact information for the planner assigned to the file.
“We believe this is a real value add to our community and will provide a comprehensive list of all of the different development applications on which the Town is currently partnering,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette. Adam Farr, Manager of Development Review said the effort to revamp was a collaborative effort between two Town departments – Planning, Development & Sustainability and Information Services – and is a great self-serve option for those interested in tracking development activity in Town.
