October 16, 2014 The charming Pied Piper warmly welcomed Ms. Jagriti Buddhiraja, Project Coordinator Schools and Ms. Mylene from Maxmuller Bhavan as the eminent guests at the German Fest organized in the school to incorporate the international dimensions in the school’s curriculum. The gala event brought alive Red Riding Hood from the land of the fairytales spreading the vibrant virtues of Germany followed by powerpoint presentations showcasing the culture of Germany. Reflecting the rich heritage of India, a Gujarati dance marked the day well. February 3, 2015 To nurture and integrate international dimensions and global perspectives in the school curriculum the school invited 26 Chinese students along with two teachers and the Principal of Experimental School of Capital Normal University, Beijing as part of the Cultural Exchange Program. Reflecting the quintessential aspect of the Indian tradition ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, the school band Octave welcomed the guests with aplomb. The Principal Mrs. Pratibha Kohli accorded a warm welcome. The Principal of the guest school Mr Lin Hui in his speech expressed elation in being a part of the global teaching-learning paradigm and aspirations of prudent learning outcomes which would cater to global needs. A cultural fiesta was put up by the host school comprising of delectable performances depicting an amalgamation of Chinese, Japanese and Indian culture. Intra-school Activities AGRASEN JAYANTI September 20, 2014 The school paid a tribute to the legendary king of AgrohaMaharaja Agrasen Ji and remembered his incredible and philanthropic efforts on the occasion. The resplendent event commenced with a floral salutation by the revered Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli, Vice Principal Ms. Simmi Bhatia, staff members along with the members of the student body. Students presented an enlightening speech, a song and dance performance reiterating his philosophy. Students were inspired by the path laid down by the great visionary. SHRAM DAAN October 5, 2014 Inspired by the honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Vidyalaya Swachh Bharat’ campaign, the students of Class IV and V cleaned the vicinity through an activity titled Shram Daan. They visited various places outside the school and cleaned them by picking up and segregating bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste. The students were sensitized about the importance of a clean environment and were also motivated to incorporate cleanliness in their day to day life. “I couldn’t believe cleaning the neighbourhood would create such an impact on the surroundings. RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS October 31, 2014 Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated in true word and spirit to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. CHILDREN’S DAY November 22, 2014 The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). The school paid tribute to the revered Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and celebrated the Children’s Day with zest and spirit. Various activities and events were organized for the day. Teachers presented different performances for the students. Anchoring the Ms. Sunita Mathur created a wave of excitement which was enhanced by the participation of other teachers. The children were motivated to exhibit the values for the progress of society since essential human values are the real treasure.

The effervescent cherubs showcased their talent in singing, dancing, mono acting, storytelling, mimicry, poem recitation and instrumental music. October 27-31, 2014 Hindi Week was organized to pay tribute to the culturally rich language and sensitize the students towards its correct usage. The week was celebrated with much enthusiasm where students of all classes got an opportunity to perform various activities.  With the theme Swachh Bharat- Swach Vidyalya creative ventures like poem recitation, story-telling, making an advertisement , radio show, collage, poster and banner making along with the creative use of Hindi idioms were conducted propelling the use of the language.

November 19-25, 2014 Quami Ekta Week was celebrated with a view to foster the spirit of communal harmony and national integration. An array of activities was conducted including Quiz, dances of different states and skits on tribes of India exemplified the essence of India’s unity and culture. This celebration provided an opportunity to realize the secular fabric of our constitution and learn to abide by it.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK, 2014 October 27 – November 1, 2014 Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated in our school, in which the theme was “Combating Corruption.” Effective power point presentations were presented by students. Lecture on Functioning Judiciary was delivered by renowned lawyers Mr. Manish Garg and Mr. Dinesh Jindal who have been active participants in the parents support program. The session was enlightening.

GANIT WEEK December 16- 22, 2014 The GANIT week (Growing Aptitude for Numerical Innovation and Training)was celebrated enthusiastically. The week long celebrations took place as per the CBSE guidelines to pay obeisance and homage to the eminent mathematician and India’s pride – S. Ramanujan.The mathematical revelry saw a magnificent display of creative work on mathematical aptitude and skills. The innovative week – long festivities included Lecture by Dr. S C Anand, Origami In Style, Geo Designs, Mathematical Tambola: A Mental Jamboree, Mathletics: A blended learning, Maths Quiz: A Mathematical Panorama, Video Screening of Contributions of Vedic Maths, Essay Writing: The Mental Expressions and POSTER MAKING: A Calculative Palette. To pay a tribute to Ramanujan, a film on his life and achievements was also screened. ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.’ Mamsians decided to adorn the playground and zestfully participated in various games to set the rhythm for the Sports Day. Whereas the preprimary classes participated in races like cap race, dress up yourself, zig-zag race and relay race, the senior students had a taste of games like handball, football, kho-kho, judo and tug of war. The motivating gestures of the cheerleaders urged the players to forge ahead. The day was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by the budding athletes which was applauded by one and all. Date

VIVACIOUS VENTURES Educational Trips and Excursions PRATAPGARH FARMS November 21 and 29, 2014 Students of classes I-V had an enriching experience at Pratapgarh Farms in Jhajjar, Haryana. Students could savor the grandiloquence of nature and experience the thrill in trying out various adventure sports like crossing river-bridge, trampoline jumping along with indigenous creative activities like pottery, painting frescoes on mud walls and pot painting. They were enchanted to have the tractor and the bullock cart ride amidst the rustic ambience. The delicious indigenous food served as an icing to the cake of enjoyment. The trip filled them with ecstatic experience. “I really had a wonderful time. All educational outcomes were met in an entertaining and exciting way.” Geetika Bansal IV-A

WORLD OF WONDER November 22, 2014 Another joy ride was offered to the students of classes XI and XII through a excursion to the World of Wonder, Noida as the annual picnic. The day offered 142 students and 12 teachers a bouquet of fun and frolic with adventurous rides, live shows and amusing sights. It was a reveling and exhilarating experience for them.

ECO VILLAGE AND ADVENTURE, ALIPUR, 2014 DECEMBER 6, 2014 196 students of class IX and X along with 16 teachers went on a picnic to DELHI ECO VILLAGE AND ADVENTURE, ALIPUR, DELHI. Students experienced a lot of adventurous and fun filled activities like trampoline, camel ride, zip-line, bridge crossing, wall climbing etc. Children relished traditional food and also learnt about the traditional ways of cooking in Indian villages. Children enjoyed the country life and its lifestyle.
