However, I can assure you that we are making significant progress in the investigation, and we appreciate your patience. Dear Laurie, I’m working on the PDC’s investigation of your complaint against Spokane Public Schools, and I’ve run into a problem that I hoped you could help me with.  Enclosed with the binder of evidence you submitted on April 2, 2012 was a CD containing documents, at least some of which you also provided in hard copy.  (In a cover letter, you stated that you were providing “A single disc containing selected emails and documents Spokane Public Schools provided digitally in response to a lawsuit… A spreadsheet listing selected documents… and paper copies of the records[.]”  It’s not clear from this whether the binder contained a printout of every document on the CD, or if the CD contained additional documents.) In any case, while reviewing the CD this week to make sure that its contents were reflected in our investigation, I found that it was corrupted or damaged in some way.  I’m now unable to see the files on the CD.  Is it possible for you to duplicate the disc a second time and mail it to the PDC?  Alternatively, if your records indicate that the CD contained nothing more than was provided in hard copy in the binder, you are welcome to let me know that as well.  The paper copies in the binder will serve as evidence, and we wouldn’t have need for an electronic copy.
