“Will you be coming out with a different RFP for commissioning services?” “Is this an “At Risk” project?” Commissioning will be a deliverable of the LLB GC, as part of the project. LLB GC is responsible for all aspects of the project from bidding through closeout.

For both questions 22.a. and 22.b., projects shall be those completed on or after 2010.

The architect is in Design Development; hence, the need for preconstruction services for this project.

“What is the requirement for prequalification of subcontractors?” “What is the scope of work so Contractors know what trades to list for subcontractors?” Please reference, beginning on page 5 of 22 of the AESD LLB RFP, I: Notice for Request for Proposals for Preconstruction and Lease-Leaseback Services, the following: “Each proposer shall submit with its proposal on the form furnished with the RFP with a list of the designated subcontractors on this Project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code section 4100 et seq.” Also reference VII: Subcontractor Designations and information contained therein. Please reference II: Background on the Project, on page 6 of 22 of the AESD LLB RFP, for Preconstruction and LLB Services for general scope of work. “How long is the Short List Interview?” “Can we bring presentation boards or slide presentations?” Please reference X: Short List Interviews Contents of the Proposal, of the RFP. The first paragraph has been modified to read (the word “will” has been revised to read “may” as follows: After each Firm’s final score is calculated, the Proposal Evaluation Committee, based on the final scores, will determine the short list of Firms that will be invited to interview with the Proposal Evaluation Committee. The interview may consist of a short presentation (15 minutes) followed by a question and answer period (30 minutes). After the interview, the Proposal Evaluation Committee will re-evaluate the scores for the Firms invited to interview and make adjustments to the scores, if any, based on the information presented at the interviews. The re-evaluated final scores will be used to calculate the Best Value Scores (as defined in Education Code section 17400) in accordance with Section X.D. A Best Value Score will not be calculated for those Firms not invited to interview with the Proposal Evaluation Committee.

Presentation Boards and Slide Presentations are permitted; however, selected candidates need to provide their own easels, computer and overhead projection equipment. AESD cautions selected candidates to be mindful of time constraints of interview duration.

Firms must submit one (1) original copy that contains a copy of the RFP and ATTACHMENTS, along with nine (9) hard copies, and a digital copy (thumb drive) of the proposal. All proposals should address the requested information for each of the evaluation categories below. The proposal shall demonstrate the qualifications, competence, and capacity of the Firm:
