Back up and access les in the Cloud Google’s Drive File Stream is an application that allows you to move your files to the cloud and lets you access them on demand. This means you’ll free up space on your computer’s hard drive, save network bandwidth, and spend less time waiting for files to sync. You can also make files in Drive available offline, and they’ll sync to the cloud when you’re back online. After you install Drive File Stream, you access My Drive from My Computer (Windows®) or Finder (iOS®) like any regular folder. You can then move your files to Drive, where it will sync to the cloud and free up your computer space. Note: If you’re using Team Drive (sharing an entire Drive with others in your organization), you can view them in Drive on your computer, but you must open the files in Drive on the web to edit them.
