Key Responsibilities Work with the Program Director of Youth and Education as well as the Executive Director and South Bay Program Coordinator to support Bay Area Disc’s growing youth programs Coach players at clinics, summer camps, and other developmental programs Serve as the lead coordinator for certain programs, primarily in the East Bay Research and report on the best possibilities for youth program expansion in the Bay Area (field availability, target demographics, program design, locations, networking with coaches and key contacts, etc.) Manage, recruit and track volunteers to help Bay Area Disc grow its youth programs Develop coaching skills by attending BADA workshops and conferences, USAU certification course, and other professional development recommended/provided by BADA Promote the values of honesty, integrity and sportsmanship, and Spirit of the Game in all aspects of work Behave in line with the values above, as well as within the USAU coaching and conduct guidelines Terms and Payment The YPC wage will be $15 per hour (or commensurate with experience) The YPC position is a part-time, non-exempt position without benefits The YPC position reports directly to the Program Director of Youth and Education, with frequent interaction with the Executive Director The YPC may start work as soon as the position is filled: target hire date is March 14th, 2016 This position starts with a trial period at 8 hours/week for 4 weeks from the date of hire If the candidate excels in this position during the 4-week trial period, the time commitment may increase to 16-24 hours/week at any time after the date of hire The YPC position will last until December 31st, 2016 with possibility of renewal in 2017 The Coordinator will need to align her/his work schedule with BADA’s program schedule: ideal availability is on weekday afternoons for after-school clinics and on weekends for tournaments and events Hours worked will be logged on a time sheet by the employee at the end of the month Pay days are the 15th and 30th of each month, so employees will be paid based on our established pay cycle The Program Coordinator will be paid directly by BADA, never by the group or individual being coached This position requires availability of at least 20 hours/week
