CBMS | PEAK October 2016 Enhancements for Community Partners
Connect for Health Colorado (C4HCO) ● Medical Assistance On Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, enhancements will be made across the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS) and PEAK to prepare for the upcoming open enrollment season. The following information is a high-level overview of the CBMS and PEAK enhancements and the impact they might have on community partners.
PROJECT
CONNECT FOR HEALTH COLORADO | MEDCIAL ASSISTANCE
C4HCO Annualized Social Security Income Update
Self-attested Social Security Actual Annual Income will be used for Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTC)/Cost Sharing Reductions (CSR) determinations rather than the annualized amount generated by the interface that is used to verify social security income (BENDEX). This amount will display in PEAK and CBMS.
C4HCO FDSH Receive and Transmit Interfaces
This project will create an interface between CBMS and the Federal Data Services Hub (FDSH) to verify information, including annual income, for households that include at least one member who is eligible for APTC/CSR. This verification is done in real time through Apply for Benefits (AFB) and certain reported changes through Report My Changes (RMC). If C4HCO is unable to verify this information, the regular Verification Checklist (VCL) will be sent requesting that customers provide proof of their current annual household income within 90 days. If customers do not provide proof of their annual household income, they may lose APTC/CSR eligibility for failure to provide the requested documentation. A new question will be added to the application asking, “Do you agree to allow Connect for Health Colorado to use income data, including information from tax returns?” If this question is answered with a “no,” or is left blank, households will receive the standard VCL to provide proof of their annual household income.
C4HCO PEAK Page Flow Updates
PEAK currently saves information in a way that cannot be easily changed, added, or deleted once the user has navigated to the next page. New text and buttons have been in added to several Detail pages to allow users to return to the previous Summary page without needing to complete the Detail page first.
C4HCO Report My Changes Summary Page
A new Summary of Your Information page has been created for households with at least one individual who is eligible for APTC and/or CSRs. The page will display for users entering into Report My Changes from their PEAK account as well as those entering from C4HCO. Customers will be able to view information on household members, income, expenses, and other health insurance details prior to submitting a Change Report. This will help customers ensure that their eligibility is up-to-date and accurate. Note: The projects listed in this document are scheduled for the October 2016 Build. Testing is still in progress. Projects are subject to change.
