Baby Games and Infant Play--RSVP Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 9:30-10:30 a.m. PAT Playroom, #104
This month we will make a texture book to take home. Touch and feel books offer babies a way to discover their world as they feel the textures. The repetition of feeling helps babies connect what they feel to their memory bank.
We will continue to accommodate your infant’s short attention span by responding to his cues. Please bring a blanket or towel for your baby to play on during song and exercise time. Older siblings are welcome to play in the playroom or join circle time. They are also welcome to participate in the activities if they wish. Please RSVP http://www.pat.grandblanc.city.schoolfusion.us
Toddler Time—RSVP Monday, February 8th & February 29th 9:30-10:30 am PAT Playroom 104 Its' "All About Me" month. Children will use fine motor skills to make a "paper person" of themselves. We will learn about shapes when constructing paper houses. We will build houses with the large blocks in the room. We will also be doing a cool science activity and talking about feelings. This class is designed with toddlers in mind from 14-30 months. If your child is a little younger or a little older, please feel free to attend the classes a few times to see if it’s right for you and your little one. Please RSVP http://www.pat.grandblanc.city.schoolfusion.us/

Shake off the winter blahs and join us this month as we focus on our “All About Me!” theme. We’ll learn about shapes and colors while building houses. We’ll talk about big and small as we measure height with blocks and yarn (don’t worry-we won’t talk about weight!). We’ll go fishing for hearts that have letters on them as we learn to spell our names and recognize letters in the alphabet. We’ll focus on fine motor skills as we make colorful pasta necklaces (who doesn’t love jewelry for Valentine’s Day?!) http://www.pat.grandblanc.city.schoolfusion.us

The Musikgarten classes offered with Miss Em are designed to nurture the child’s music aptitude by engaging children and their families in singing and movement activities which help attune the ear, refine the voice, and develop a rhythmic body through which music can be expressed. http://www.pat.grandblanc.city.schoolfusion.us

INCLEMENT WEATHER If the Grand Blanc Schools are closed, so is the Parents As Teachers program. All programs at the Perry Center will be cancelled and so will home visits. Please check the local news channel, Grand Blanc Community Schools Facebook Page or the Website for closing information. If evening activities at Grand Blanc Community Schools are cancelled, ours will be too. ILLNESS
As always, please do not bring your child to the school if they have had a fever or have vomited within the last 24 hours, have an unexplained rash, or appear to have mucus that is greenish and thick and have been on an antibiotic less than 24 hours. Please put your parent educator’s phone number in an easy place to find and cancel your home visit for any of the reasons listed above. Likewise, your parent educator may cancel a visit if they, or their own child, has the symptoms listed above.
IF YOU HAVE OLDER SIBLINGS HOME FROM SCHOOL, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR VISIT ALSO. We go from home to home and don’t want to share any illnesses with other families, particularly our new born children.
