Student Achievement Student Achievement Summary W.H. Ford High School has an Accountability Rating of Met Standard. All schools in Texas must meet standards set in four state accountability areas. For the 2014-2015 school year, Ford High School met all four targets: Index 1 - Student Achievement Score: 74 (state target score = 60) Index 2 - Student Progress Score: 18 (state target score = 15) Index 3 - Closing Performance Gaps Score: 39 (state target score = 31) Index 4 - Post-Secondary Readiness Score 75 (state target score = 57) These scores result in Ford High School receiving a 2015 Texas Accountability Met Standard rating. Although we are proud of our scores, we know there is much more work to be done. On the 2015 STAAR, the following scores for all grades show the percentage at Phase-In Satisfactory Standard or Above: ELA I = 57% ELA II = 62% Algebra I = 77% Biology = 83% US History = 86% While the campus is showing overall growth, the amount of growth among student groups is not equal. One focus for the campus is the variance between the highest and lowest scores among student groups. Note the highest and lowest 2015 STAAR scores listed below: ELA Highest Scores = 64% Hispanic, 63% White Lowest Scores = 16% Special Education Math Highest Scores = 78% Hispanic, 76% White Lowest Scores = 32% Special Education Science Highest Scores = 88% Hispanic, 82% White Lowest Scores = 52% Special Education Ford High School Generated by Plan4Learning.com

Campus #116908001 January 6, 2016 8:13 am

Social Studies Highest Scores = 86% White, 83% Hispanic

Lowest Scores = 40% Special Education

When looking at this variance, it is important to remember that the student groups vary in size. To address the variance, the campus has analyzed scores for each individual student and by each standard. As stated earlier, individual students will be targeted for intervention and acceleration. Teachers also study the goal of the campus is to close the gaps between all student groups with a special emphasis on the Special Education student group. Ford High School did not meet the safeguards listed below: Reading in the area of Economically Disadvantaged Reading in the area of Special Education Reading in the area of English Language Learners Mathematices in the area of Special Education Participation Status
