1. The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Clean Energy & Access Improvement Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. 2. The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), (“Purchaser”) now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for the Supply & Delivery of Material for Clean Energy and Access Improvement Project, Part 3, Lot B - Construction of 33kV Power Lines to Katunayake, Kiribathgoda, Nawala and Kotikawatte Primary Substations. 3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: One Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. 4. To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders shall: 

Visit the office of Deputy General Manager (Planning & Development-DD 2) at the address indicated above between 09:00 and 15:00 hours on working days from 14 January 2016 to 2 March 2016. And pay a non-refundable fee of LKR 10,000.00 by cash or bank draft drawn in favour of Ceylon Electricity Board. Or,



Request for overseas delivery of Bidding Documents by sending a written application to the above address. The application must include a non-refundable fee of LKR 20,000 in cash/Bank Draft or US$150 in Bank Draft in favor of Ceylon Electricity Board. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. Bids must be delivered to:

Late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Bidders’ or their authorized representatives who choose to attend the bid opening at the Office of the Additional General Manager (Distribution Division 02),Ceylon Electricity Board, 2nd Floor, No. 50, Sir Chittampalam A Gardiner Mawatha, Colombo 02, Sri Lanka. 7. When comparing Bids, ADB’s Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the bidding document.
