New Exhibition at the Cultural Centre HALTON HILLS, ON – The Halton Black History Awareness Society will open the exhibition ‘Colours of Ontario – Four Seasons’ in the Sisnett Lobby of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre on Tuesday, August 22. The exhibition features five artists: Nicole Alexander, Anna Maria Dickinson, Georgia Fullerton, Jennylynd James and Tony Miller, coming together to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. Some were born and have lived here all of their lives; others have adopted Canada, and Ontario, as their home. Each artist’s work is a unique interpretation of their culture, history, and roots. The exhibition will continue through September 2. “It’s inspiring to see our community’s rich artistic heritage continue to grow with vibrant exhibitions like this one,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette. The Helson Gallery is located at 9 Church St., Halton Hills and is open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: 1 – 5 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1 – 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. The Gallery and Cultural Centre are closed on Sundays during July and August.
