Halton Hills Welcomes Dr. Brent Lamptey to Georgetown HALTON HILLS, ON – Mayor Rick Bonnette is pleased to announce that Dr. Brent Lamptey has joined the Georgetown Medical Associates located at 199 Princess Anne Drive in Georgetown. Dr. Lamptey has assumed the practice of Dr. Trant who recently retired. The Town through the Physician Recruitment Program will be providing financial assistance to Dr. Lamptey in setting up his new practice. The program provides a $5,000.00 grant and a $10,000.00 interest free loan repayable over five years; the funds can be used for the purchase of equipment or to set up an office. The doctor agrees to maintain an active family practice for a minimum of five years. The Program initiated in 2009 has helped attract eight family physicians to the community; in addition the Town has supported the successful Nurse Practitioner program in Acton. “Halton Hills continues to invest in health services in the community” stated Mayor Bonnette “this program helps our residents to have a local doctor adding to the quality of life for our residents. Dr. Lamptey graduated from McMaster University where he completed both his medical degree and residency training. In addition to maintaining a family practice, Dr.Lamptey will have privileges at Georgetown Hospital where he will be looking after his own patients and working in the Emergency Room.
