Fire Drills – conduct monthly. There was a Fire alarm pulled in the elementary on May 13. The leaning light pole with wires hanging low by the tennis courts, have been in contact and are waiting to have this completed. New fencing around the playground behind the school, the poles and concrete have lifted out of the ground. Upper parking lot lights are on hold pending budget. Light packs attached to the building will all be replaced to LED lights, by our Maintenance staff. Lights in the main high school entrance were updated, they are very bright. Other Items: Mr. Stang asked about the Mock Car Crash. Mr. Mallery thanked student, Jonathan Baltzley, for doing a great job for his graduation project of arranging everyone (ie. Helicopter, fire, police, etc.) to be here and presenting an eye opening presentation for all the 11th and 12th grade students and faculty. Mrs. Guiton asked about the status of Mr. Stang’s recommendation to meet with the Fire Department, EMS, Triguard and PSP to identify what will happen with each alarm so then we can set up procedures and training. Dr. Cuomo explained this will be completed as a summer project. Mrs. Austin asked after the last 2 student pulled fire alarms if there is a way she could be notified with a radio, phone or announcement as to the status due to students being wet, in suits and without shoes, due to the cold weather outside as to the need to take the students out. This was discussed as to what the best procedure would be. Dr. Cuomo will contact Mr. Weisgold to put a procedure in place.
