May 9, 2013 Minutes PSG Meeting called to order 12:05 p.m. Secretary Report. Shannon Fox was not able to attend today's meeting. Mary Lynn Mihm volunteered to keep the Minutes for Shannon. Mrs. Wong made motion to approve April Minutes. Cheryl Cowles seconded motion. Motion carried and Minutes were approved. Treasurer's Report – Pam Lea See attached report. Paw Mart Report – Carrie Stire (Tate day earned in excess of $400.00). Carrie has already started signing up parents for next year. The supplies have all been purchased for this year and she will be discounting candy left. Principle's Report – LaDonna Chancellor. Mrs. Chancellor reported that BHS did not get grant from foundation. Mrs. Chancellor to apply for grant from state department. Will try again to get grant next year. We need to put a line item in budget. Graduation is approaching. There are 396 are scheduled to walk. Extra security for graduation. Large bags will be subject to search. This year we will have officers and reserve officers (parking and traffic). Having officers will not affect the school budget. Counselor's Report. Caps and gowns were handed out yesterday. Program is set up and ready to go. Tickets were handed out to students. President's Report. Superintendent's meeting was last week. We have several teams that made academic champions. Boy's golf was awarded academic champion. Flash drives have been ordered. Will be handed out at rehearsal. Nancy Dykstra is preparing for graduation. Green thumb is donating plants. Project Graduation – Lori Ahlert. Lori has meeting at mall 10:00 a.m. to discuss finalizing plans and walk through. Entertainment includes: photo booth, money machine, Ehrles, drink machine, and glow in the dark bingo. Deposits to date $ 27,218.85. They are still looking for volunteers. Contact Lori for more information. Senior Breakfast. Mary Lynn Mihm reported that she is ready for Sundaes and Sliders. They are planning for Senior brunch at high school to allow all senior students and faculty to participate. Old Business. None. New Business. 1.

A+ program with Washington Park Mall in partnership with Bartlesville Monthly Magazine is a program designed to partner with schools and mall. Please see report attached. Each school will have their own

locker and kids will drop in their receipts to locker. Schools will win cash rewards. Need 8-10 school to participate. Students can also drop receipts in box at school or lockers at mall. Mall donates $ 5000.00 and magazine will donate $ 5000.00. Can also earn points through community events, participation and promotion. DEADLINE: May 17, 2013 School Board is very supportive of this effort and program. Mrs. Wong made a motion to fill out an application for A+ program. Pam Lea seconded Motion. Motion carried. Will need to get a community coordinator 2.
