November 2017 Dear Parents/Guardians In line with The Cooper School custom, we will be contributing to Children in Need Day this year, together with raising funds towards the building of an outdoor playground at Pasci Primary School, Tuzla, Bosnia. Mr Dipple, Head of Music has been involved with this primary school for over ten years and has asked if the school can raise some money towards this project as well this year. To raise funds we will be running a non-uniform day on Friday, 17th November 2017. The funds raised will be split 50/50 to each organisation. On the day, students will not be required to wear normal school uniform and will be asked to make a £1 donation for wearing fancy dress or non-school uniform. This money should be handed to your son’s/daughter’s House/Year tutor on Friday, 17th November 2017. Whilst we hope students will enter into the spirit of the occasion, there are some safety implications we feel that are important:   

Footwear must be suitable for the school site with no excessively high heels; No roller blades, skateboards or off road/stunt bikes are allowed; The only bikes permitted are those that students use to travel to and from school; Students should not wear any fancy dress that may be a fire hazard or be likely to cause injury to themselves or others.

Please also note that the fancy dress must not be bought or rented as we wish all the proceeds to go to these two organisations. Payment can also be made online by Parentpay.
