Item Drop-Off Reminder we do not send notes for items that are dropped off for students. We kindly request that you notify the student that they may pick up the item in between classes or at lunch. We also kindly ask that if you are dropping off clothing or shoes for your student that you please put them in a bag with the student’s name on the bag. In addition, we no longer allow food and drinks to be dropped off for students unless it is the student’s lunch or snack for an after school activity. What To Do If Your Child Will Be Absent How to excuse a full day absence: Please call 503-825-5510 to report absences, preferably in the morning of the day the student is absent. Please note that all absences must be excused within 48 hours of the absence. You may also email the attendance secretary at
[email protected]. Please include a phone number in which you can be reached so we can verify if needed. When returning to school from an absence, and the parent fails to report the absence ahead of time, please send a note with the student. All absences must be excused within 48 hours. The 48 hour window begins at 8:00 am on the day of the student’s absence and ends at 8:00, 48 hours later. Friday’s absences must be excused by Monday morning at 8:00 am. Any absence not excused within that 48 hour window will be considered unexcused. No exceptions. You need to call in by 8:45 am so that you don’t get an automated reminder that your student is not in attendance. The evening calls will stay the same and will notify anyone that has not called in at all, even after the morning notifications.
