1. Introduction The Water Sensor Module is part of the Grove system. It indicates whether the sensor is dry, damp or completely immersed in water by measuring conductivity. The sensor traces have a weak pull-up resistor of 1 MΩ. The resistor will pull the sensor trace value high until a drop of water shorts the sensor trace to the grounded trace. You can use it with the analog pins to detect the amount of water induced contact between the grounded and sensor traces. Specification    

Description Analog Output

Function The output voltage changing with the amount of water present on the water sensor’ tracks.  Output voltage increases  increasing of amount of water.  Output voltage decreases  decreasing of amount of water.

3. Sample Hardware Interface and Sample Source Code Here is the example of hardware interface between Water Sensor Module and Arduino UNO. Besides Arduino, it may interface with any microcontroller such as PIC and etc.

To obtain the result, please get the sample source code and burn it into Arduino.

4. Result Before Water Sensor Module dips into water, the reading of water amount is low.

The reading of water amount increased after dipping it into water.

5. Warranty    

Product warranty is valid for 1 months. Warranty only applies to manufacturing defect. Damaged caused by misuse is not covered under warranty. Warranty does not cover shipping cost for both ways.
