Information from the Principal’s Office Kindergarten Registration: Jac Cen Del will have Kindergarten registration on Thursday, April 5th starting at 1pm. Kindergarten registration ends at 7:00pm. If you have a student who is going to be 5 years old by 8/1/2018, we hope to see you there! If you cannot make it, please contact the office.

PTO Soap Sales: PTO Laundry Soap Fundraiser forms will be coming home on Monday. These order forms are due in on April 5th. This soap sale helps the PTO fund field trips and school supplies for all students.

SUMMER REC: Summer baseball and softball forms were sent home a couple of weeks ago. They are due on Wednesday the 21st. If you have questions, please contact Lisa Horn after 3pm.

SCHOOL SUCCESS: This past week, JCDE was selected as a Promise School. Here is a snippet of information about the Promise Program. College may seem far away to kindergarteners, but this fall, Jac-Cen-Del Elementary will bring post-secondary education and careers front of mind for elementary youth and their families through a collaborative effort called “The Promise.” The program makes educational savings a reality by helping families start a CollegeChoice 529 Direct Savings account through their school, seeding the account with an initial investment from a local or regional sponsor, and rallying the community to match deposits that families and champions contribute to the account. JCDE is among the newest group of communities to launch The Promise program, with the support of Promise Indiana, the Indiana Education Savings Authority, and Lilly Endowment, Inc.
