Beach Hop Performance A huge congratulations to our students that performed at the recent ‘Beach Hop Warm Up Party’. They were all amazing and the feedback from the extended community has been overwhelmingly positive!! You our parents/caregivers also deserve a big pat on the back for the support you provided for our students and school, be it through sourcing dress up costumes, help with the dance preparations, transport, PTA stall workers, the list goes on! Without your ongoing support we would struggle to make these type of things happen for our tamariki! ! Photos and footage of the day/performances can be found on our Facebook page.!
Raffle Tickets Support for our PTA Easter Raffle Hamper has been fantastic. We are hoping to draw the raffle in the last week of school so please ensure all sold/un-sold tickets and monies are returned to school no later than Friday 11th April.!

Winter sports springs into action with Junior soccer beginning Week 1 of Term 2. This is once again being held at Waihi Beach School on Thursday afternoons, 3:30 - 4:30pm. We would love to have as many students as possible take part and are willing to supply the school bus to assist those that may find travel an issue. Interested students can collect and return permission forms from the office. If we are unable to field our own team/s due to lack of numbers we are able to combine with other small schools so no one misses out! Please endeavour to have these forms returned a.s.a.p!!
Centenary Jubilee Committee
Baywave Day
Scholastic Book Club
2016 will be the 100th birthday for Waimata School. Such an event takes a great deal of planning and organisation. At this early stage there are a number of people interested in forming a Jubilee Committee to start the process in motion. If you are interested or know of others that may be please let the school know.!
A fantastic day was had by all during our end of swimming celebration. A great big thank you to all the parents and caregivers that came along and got into the swing of things! Mr Phillips will try and get as many photos and video footage up on our Facebook page over the coming days.!
